How the library works

Earned, not rented

The Equipment Library runs on Creative Equity Hours. Instead of paying rental fees, members earn access by giving back: volunteering, sharing their skills, and helping fellow creatives.

It is a community supporting its own. Artists help one another, and in return the gear and software they need reaches them at no cost. We believe it is the first creative equipment library of its kind.

A note from our founder

I’ve spent years on Habitat for Humanity builds, and I’ve always admired the principle at the heart of their work: families earn their home by helping build others’. That belief, that we grow stronger by lifting one another, became the foundation of this library. Through Creative Equity Hours, artists don’t simply borrow equipment; they invest in a community that invests right back in them, a model built on dignity and designed to last.

Why it matters

Too many gifted artists are held back not by a lack of vision, but by the cost of the tools to realize it. The Equipment Library exists to change that, so an artist’s future is shaped by their talent and effort, never their budget or their zip code. Put the right gear in their hands, and you don’t just fund a project; you help build a career.

Help grow the library

Every piece of equipment extends the library’s reach to another artist. We welcome donations of professional gear, and partnerships with funders and grantmakers who want to expand access nationwide.
